Pre-ASB Blog #2: We Met Our Participants!

The day has finally come! We meet our amazing participants, and they are all such great and amazing student leaders.

From left to right, we have Matt Klein (trip leader), Kelsay Franklin, Danni Ha, Aaron Chub, Jessica Jenkins, Deshawn Dilworth, Chelsea DeBlock, Kayla Ingle, Kristin Judy, Condreana Rymer, Cody Chitwood, Savannah Dooley, and Hayley Pennesi (trip leader). (Not pictured: Morgan Carruthers and Taylor Thomas, our learning partner).

At our first meeting, we played some icebreakers to get to know each other, and introduced our participants to the idea of animal outreach.  We had some very serious statistics that proved just how much of a problem animal cruelty and abuse are in our country.

Of course, we couldn't leave our first trip meeting without revealing our trip location, which is.....
TAMPA, FLORIDA!!

We also got to share our mission statement with our trip, which is:

"To create a meaningful and fun environment dedicated to spreading awareness for animal equality, and inspire a passion for young student leaders to bring back to Knoxville."

We are incredibly excited to see how much this trip impacts our students.  Follow our blog to learn more about the great work we are doing to educate and inspire others to make a difference in the lives of animals.
